Project Topic: Production of Xanthan gum from sugar beet pulp medium using Xanthomonas.spp isolated from infected plants.
The Project was an attempt to isolate various strains of Xanthomonas.spp capable of producing Xanthan gum using sugar beet pulp. Xanthan gum is used in various food industries and also non-food industries because it is non-toxic and does not inhibit growth non-sensitizing and does not cause skin or eye irritation. Moreover it thickens the aqueous solutions.
The Project was completed successfully over a period of five months in the final semester of M.Sc. Applied Microbiology.
Also worked extensively and acquired good knowledge on various subjects like Microbial Physiology, Bio-Statistics, Bioinformatics, Applied Microbiology, Molecular Biology, rDNA Technology and other courses.
CLINICAL RESEARCH PROJECT:
Project Topic: CASE REPORT FORMS IN CLINICAL RESEARCH:
A Case Report Form (or CRF) is a paper or electronic questionnaire specifically used in clinical trial research. The Case Report Form is the tool used by the sponsor of the clinical trial to collect data from each participating site. All data on each patient participating in a clinical trial are held and/or documented in the CRF, including adverse events.
