About Jiwaji University
Jiwaji University is a four-star university. The University was initially established as a teaching and affiliating University on 23rd May 1964, under the provision of M. P. Government Ordinance. Dr. Sarwapalli Radhakrishanan, the then President of India, laid the foundation stone of the University Campus on 11th December 1964.
The territorial jurisdiction of the affiliation extends to six districts of Gwalior and Chambal Division, viz., Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Guna, Shivpuri and Datia.
Right from its inception, Jiwaji University started with a status of a residential and an affiliating University. To begin with, the University had a total of 29 affiliated colleges. Those have now steadily increased to more than 100 colleges.
The School of Studies in Economic, Mathematics and Commerce are recent additions to the University campus. The Jiwaji University has also offers courses on Bio- Chemistry, Bio- technology, Environmental Science and Earth Science to the interested students. The Institute of Management provides degree on Masters of Business Administration Program.

Central library, USIC, Sports Complex, Computer Center, Press and Publications, Hostel facilities and Guest house are the services that are provided for the well being and comfort of the students studying in the University for full time Courses. How to apply to Jiwaji University
Application form can be collected from the University’s Sales Counters by depositing Rs 400/- in cash/DD. To obtain a prospectus by post request may be sent to the Registrar, Jiwaji University, Gwalior-474011 along with a DD/IPO for Rs. 450/- in favour of Registrar, Jiwaji University, Gwalior.
Those who download the application forms from the website should submit the completed form along with the crossed a/c payee demand draft of Rs. 450/- payable at Gwalior in favour of Registrar, Jiwaji University, Gwalior. They can collect prospectus along with roll numbers one day before the entrance test from the control room.
For each course a separate application form has to be submitted and with each application form an additional application fee of Rs 100/- has to be deposited (Demand Draft in favour of Registrar, Jiwaji) University, Gwalior. Each information Bulletin has six application forms (one specifically for physical education courses), which are non-transferable.
