UPTU Counselling 2010

The Uttar Pradesh Technical University UPTU counselling program is held each year which allows students to get admission in various UPTU affiliated colleges, these students are from various categories and sub categories like General, OBC, SC-ST, AF, GL (girls), Kashmiri Migrants and other minority categories. The UPTU counselling has two phases :-

1) Off Campus Online counselling
2) On-Campus Online counselling

a) The Off Campus online counselling can be attended from home, with an internet connection. The online off campus counselling of UPTU allows students to see the trends of colleges which they can attend and the demonstration of what actually happens.

b) On Campus Online Counselling is the real process of admission where students are informed about the colleges where they can apply. There are various counsellng centers predefined by UPTU. Student are awarded colleges according to there ranks which they have gained in the SEE UPTU exam.

The dates for UPTU 2010 counselling have been announced.

Domicile Requirement For UPTU SEE Admissions

According to UPTU’s official website the norms for admission are :-

• Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination (12th/graduation etc.) from an institution located in Uttar Pradesh and who do not claim for any reserved category are eligible for admission to all the courses at all the institutions against available General (OPEN) seats (No certificate required).
• Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located in State of U.P. and are domicile of U.P. and belong to Schedule Caste (SC) of U.P. / Schedule Tribe (ST) of U.P. / Other Backward Classes of U.P. are eligible for admission against available reserved seats of their category.(Certificate no. 1 or 2 as applicable is required) [Respective Codes: UPSC/UPST/UPBC]
• Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located outside U.P.; and whose parents are domicile of U.P.; and who have not claimed for any reserved category, are also eligible for admission to courses offered at all institutions under General (OPEN) category. Such candidate has to produce the domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only)  at the time of counselling (Certificate no. 3).   [Code:UPGD] If you fail to get the domicile certificate at the time of counselling – You will not be allowed in counselling.
• Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located outside U.P.; and whose parents are NOT domicile of U.P.and who have not claimed for any reserved category, are eligible for admission to All India seats at all private institutions under General (OPEN) category.      [Code : OSGE]
